TOOTH LENGTHENING

TOOTH LENGTHENING

The dental lengthening procedure, one of the aesthetic techniques, is among the most preferred methods recently. Individuals with aesthetic concerns can undergo the dental lengthening process. There are two methods in dental lengthening: "lengthening the tooth downward" and "lengthening the tooth upward"...

Lengthening the Tooth Downward
The most commonly preferred method is the porcelain laminate lengthening technique. Porcelain laminates that adhere to the front part of the tooth are porcelain layers similar to false nails. It is a high-quality way to lengthen the tooth in the best possible way. The tooth can be easily lengthened with porcelain laminates, and adjustments can be made to its color, length, and shape as desired.

Lengthening the Tooth Upward
If the relation between the tooth and the lip is good, lengthening the tooth downward is not a proper choice. In the upward lengthening technique, the tooth and gums are intervened. A pink aesthetic procedure is performed. In pink aesthetics, gums are leveled upward with a laser to bring the tooth length to the desired level. Thus, the gums may become less visible.

Dental lengthening procedures applied to the gums with laser treatments take approximately 10-15 minutes. In dental lengthening procedures performed with laser, there is no pain or bleeding. If you do not have any health problems in your teeth, and if there are no issues such as crowding or gaps between your teeth, the tooth length can be extended solely by applying laser treatment to the gums.
